Who do you listen?

Who do you listen?
Your heart or your brain!
Why do they create confusion?
Generate So much pain?
*
What Big thing I wanted from life?
Why there is no light of hope?
What was my mistake?
To receive varieties of punishment!
Why all nights seem so elongated?
Why the life becomes a saddle - load!
Why can't I understand, what to do?
How to move and where to go?
*
Teach me to find self-satisfaction,
And, cherish on my immediate possession.
Not willing to snag anyone
For own-self peace and protection
Getting scared of being frustrated
Keep me cheerful, amiable, & enthusiastic.

The 7 Rules of Kids' Nutrition

A parent's first instinct, when she sees her child gaining weight is to deny him or her extra snacks and nibbles. But that's a losing strategy, just like any fad diet, and another serious threat—to our health of our children.

Here are some simple rules that can teach your child to swim—no matter how rough the nutritional seas may become.

Rule No. 1: Never skip breakfast. Ever.

Rule No. 2: Snack with purpose

Need snack ideas? Try popcorn.
Other great choices include not just the low-cal stuff (vegetables and fruit) but more filling fare like unsalted nuts and even dark chocolate, which is packed with antioxidants and even some fiber. The point is not to deny food, but to teach our children to crave foods that are healthy for them.So when you give your kid an individual bag of chips and a soda—the same snack you might have enjoyed when you were 10—he's ingesting 142 more calories than you did. Feeding him that just twice a week means he'll gain an extra pound within a year, just because of the additional calories.

Rule No. 3: Beware of portion distortion

Buy smaller bowls and cups.

Rule No. 4: Drink responsibly

Too many of us keep in mind the adage "watch what you eat," and we forget another serious threat to our children's health: We don't watch what they drink. The students who consumed the most sweetened beverages took in approximately 330 more calories a day than did those who drank only small amounts or no sweetened drinks at all.

And don't forget milk. Growing boys and girls create at least 40 percent of their adult bone mass during adolescence

Rule No. 5: Eat more whole foods

Rule No. 6: Set the table

Children in families with a more structured mealtime exhibit healthier eating habits. within a society where both Mom and Dad work, keeping the family ritual just once a week gives parents the opportunity to point out what is and isn't healthy at the dinner table. Another smart move: Get your kids involved in cooking. Make a game of trying to pack the most healthful ingredients into your meals. A Texas study shows that children can be encouraged to eat more fruits and vegetables by giving them goals and allowing them to help in preparation.

Rule No. 7: Kick the sugar habit.

Blessed being counted by You!

Dewy moistened grassland, uncountable dewdrops
Few of them seems like ravishing rich diamonds
As they lighten up by sun rays
The glorious light sparkles their sun-shiny face.
...................Whispering….‘Thank you for noticing me,
Not expecting more than anything.’

A beautiful floral-valley, ecstatic garden flowery
Next day, nature may make them decay; fallen dry
Devout plucks few efflorescence flowers
For offering them on the altars.
......Murmuring…. ‘Thank you for giving importance to me,
Not expecting more than anything.’

Few hundreds red-pink balloon
You have chosen the heart-shaped one
Carved on ‘I love you’ & gifted to sweetheart
Doesn’t matter, next moment, it may burst
..............Whispering…. ‘Thank you for preferring me,
Not expecting more than anything.’

Red-yellow-green-black; shades of loads of colour
You have chosen the sky-blue colour
And, resting me on the sky
Kept my self-esteem greatly high!
..............Asserting….‘Thank you for counting me,
Not expecting more than anything.’

You have gifted me more, what I deserve,
Thank you! And accept the heart beating admire!

When we are loved by someone
The passion takes us in cloud-nine
It is God's paramount gift
If we could have ever received

When we are loved by someone
Everything is so wonderful and benign
God may be giving the reward
For our some benevolent work

When we are loved by someone
Fondle & honour the God-gifted benison
By realizing the desire & unspoken words of soul-mate
And, all sane-insane behaviour to tolerate

God! if 'm blessed with lovely gift
Empower me to endow his deserved respect
Wherever I stay ,near or far
Only praying not to lose his adore
Want to love and to be loved
Forever; so long the last breath; till end!

The Proven Dangers of Microwave Ovens

In short, microwaves distort the moleclular structure of the foods. They destroy much of the nutrients and cause many other problems with the immune system over a period of time. If you love your family read this and takes the extra couple of minutes to heat the food up the right way.
Every microwave oven contains a magnetron, a tube in which electrons are affected by magnetic and electric fields in such a way as to produce micro wavelength radiation at about 2450 Mega Hertz (MHz) or 2.45 Giga Hertz (GHz). This microwave radiation interacts with the molecules in food. All wave energy changes polarity from positive to negative with each cycle of the wave. In microwaves, these polarity changes happen millions of times every second. Food molecules - especially the molecules of water - have a positive and negative end in the same way a magnet has a north and a south polarity.
In commercial models, the oven has a power input of about 1000 watts of alternating current. As these microwaves generated from the magnetron bombard the food, they cause the polar molecules to rotate at the same frequency millions of times a second. All this agitation creates molecular friction, which heats up the food. The friction also causes substantial damage to the surrounding molecules, often tearing them apart or forcefully deforming them. The scientific name for this deformation is "structural isomerism"
Although microwaves heat food quickly, they are not recommended for heating a baby's bottle. The bottle may seem cool to the touch, but the liquid inside may become extremely hot and could burn the baby's mouth and throat. Heating the bottle in a microwave can cause slight changes in the milk. In infant formulas, there may be a loss of some vitamins.
Ten Reasons to Throw out your Microwave Oven:
1. Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long term - permanent - brain damage by "shorting out" electrical impulses in the brain [de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissue].
2. The human body cannot metabolize [break down] the unknown by-products created in microwaved food.
3. Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods.
4. The effects of microwaved food by-products are residual [long term, permanent] within the human body.
5. Minerals, vitamins, and nutrients of all microwaved food is reduced or altered so that the human body gets little or no benefit, or the human body absorbs altered compounds that cannot be broken down.
6. The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancerous free radicals when cooked in microwave ovens.
7. Microwaved foods cause stomach and intestinal cancerous growths [tumors]. This may explain the rapidly increased rate of colon cancer in America.
8. The prolonged eating of microwaved foods causes cancerous cells to increase in human blood.
9. Continual ingestion of microwaved food causes immune system deficiencies through lymph gland and blood serum alterations.
10. Eating microwaved food causes loss of memory, concentration, emotional instability, and a decrease of intelligence.

Being A Mother, Such A Divine Pleasure

The very day I became mother
Such a delightful divine pleasure!
A complete upfront feeling of a creator
Can a man obtain this sensation, being a father!
Remembering nine-months extensive excitement
Conceiving surprise in my womb, a heavenly plight'
T was different astounding mental uproar
Slight fear, anxiety; pride of would be mother
And the awaiting day, he was born
All pain-fear has instantly gone
Prevailed only a feeling of triumphant artist, a proud sculptor
Part of my body!! I was a two-soul carrier!!!!
As if, God-Educator instructed practical knowledge
Only Woman can receive this blissful privilege!!

My bonbon,
 angel son
My best ever creation
Such a divine pleasure
First time, being a mother

A Great Lesson : Food for Thought - A beautiful story

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.'

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her, 'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected
that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear; for before they were yours, they were mine.'

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.
Life Is a Gift today before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.
Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who died too early on this earth.

Before you complain about your children - Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep - Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us is without sin.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around.

Slash Your Cancer Risk in Minutes a Day

Stay weight wise

Excess pounds boost cancer risk, a study in The Lancet shows. Build an exercise habit now to head off trouble: The American Cancer Society (ACS) recommends aiming for 30 minutes of activity five days a week.

When you hit your 45th birthday, make sure you're also doing 45 minutes of strength training twice weekly to minimize metabolic slowdown. "Beginning in our mid-40s, we lose up to a third of a pound of muscle a year and gain it back as fat, and fat burns fewer calories than muscle"

Nibble a bit of chocolate

As if you need an excuse! Researchers have discovered a compound in dark chocolate that fights fast-growing cancers such as colorectal cancer. "It requires the activity of an enzyme called kinase, which causes cancerous cells to die but leaves normal cells alone,"

Practice peace

  • Take deep belly breaths. You slow and elongate brain waves, bringing on calm.

  • Watch your favorite comedy. Enjoying a good laugh activates the areas of the brain that govern humor, in turn suppressing the brain's stress regions.

  • Adopt an uplifting mantra. Try "I love my life!" and repeat it when you're happy. You will train your mind to associate the phrase with being content. Then when you're on edge, chant your mantra and you'll immediately feel at ease.

Bake, don't burn

Grilling poultry and fish until it's charred to a crisp can turn amino acids and other substances in the meat into heterocyclic amines (HCAs), compounds that have been linked to cancer. "HCAs are 10 times more potent than most other environmental carcinogens

  • Marinate meat before grilling. Soaking chicken breasts in a mixture of cider vinegar, olive oil, lemon juice and spices reduced HCA formation by 92 to 99 percent

  • Keep the grill temp below 325 degrees, the point at which HCAs begin to form.

  • Grill meat or fish in punctured aluminum foil to protect against flare-ups.

  • Flip burgers often—about once a minute. This action keeps meat juices from getting too hot and activating HCA formation.

Avoid needless tests

if your doc orders a nonemergency CT scan (say, to investigate headaches), ask if a radiation-free ultrasound or an MRI can be used instead.

Steal these secrets

  • Spice things up. In India, where breast cancer rates are about five times lower than in the United States, people cook with an abundance of cancer-fighting spices such as cumin, ginger and turmeric.

  • Go for whole grains.

  • West Africans smoke much less than Americans, which may in part explain why their rates of esophageal cancer are about 60 times lower than ours

Cut back on coffee

Ponder the Pill carefully

  • Research on the link between birth control pills and cancer reveals the contraceptive can be a mixed blessing. On the one hand, women who took the Pill for 15 years cut their risk for ovarian and endometrial cancer by more than half, notes a study from the University of Oxford in England. On the other hand, Pill takers may have a slightly elevated risk for breast and cervical cancer. So what's the bottom line?
"For most healthy women who don't smoke, the benefits of the Pill far exceed the risks," says Polly Marchbanks, Ph.D

Be sunscreen-savvy

Apply sunscreen properly: Put on the amount that would fill a shot glass 30 minutes before heading outdoors, then reapply every two hours or after swimming or major sweating.

Ask about daily aspirin

It's not only for heart disease: One a day reduced estrogen-receptor-positive breast cancer risk by 16 percent, NCI research finds.

Take a shot at HPV

More women may soon benefit from Gardasil, a vaccine that protects against the two strains of human papillomavirus that cause 70 percent of cervical cancer cases.

Is this vaccine popular in India?

Fatigue

Getting pitiless harder
Difficult, moving any further
It's dreadfully weary
Feeling enormously sleepy
How long to move on
Unable speculating destination
Puffing dire suffocate
Dragging burning leg
The path is not horizontal
Long way to travel!!!!
Dreamt of a journey on Boulevard
Now, feels to lie on the graveyard
Mom, Render your lap
For couple of hours nap.

Majestic World beckoning me

A dreamland of optimism, where ‘m living
Majestic world beckoning me, his darling
Conjugal ardour is not for me
Altruistic tenderness ablooming within me
Surround’s indignancy, sarcasm keeps me indifferent
My mind fails to keep antagonism, forgetting to abominate
(May be) God’s adore teaching me to endure hardships
Even within tremor, treacherous rim, I ‘ve smile on my lips!!
Nice people, pleasant posture, confine forever in my memory
Scraping all evils out, my soul ‘ll sure meet radiant glory
I can tell you, the mantra to live in peace:
Don’t keep bad memories, hard feeling & bitterness;
Understand the world in language of diverse love;
Wink at appalling instance that could disturb.
Who can become a winner, by digging me down?
For ablution in God’s love attires me crown

5 Steps Could Add 22 Years to Your Life

1. Next time you're asked, "Soup or salad?" order the salad. +2 years

Italian researchers found that eating as little as 1 cup of raw vegetables daily can add two years to your life. Why raw? Cooking can deplete up to 30 percent of the antioxidants in vegetables.

2. Learn the Law of Lard: The fat you carry today could kill you tomorrow. +3 years
University of Alabama researchers discovered that maintaining a body mass index of 25 to 35 can shorten your life by up to three years. (Excess body fat raises your risk of diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and colon cancer.) If you're allergic to exercise, sweat with your significant other. A Duke University study shows that sedentary men are 50 percent more likely to work out three times a week if their partners participate.

3. Crack open a fresh can of nuts and extend your expiration date. +3 years

Loma Linda University researchers discovered that those who munched nuts five days a week, earned an extra 2.9 years on the planet. The blend contains all five key nuts, including walnutts.

4. Never forget that your buddies have your back—even when it's hunched over from osteoporosis. +7 years

In a study of seventysomethings, Australian researchers found that those with the largest network of friends had the longest lease on life. For the average guy, this could add up to seven additional years of existence. Yes, some buddies may encourage risky behavior from time to time, but friendship ultimately provides more protection than peril. So try to learn a few new faces at work, trade lifting tips at the gym, or simply say "hey" to that neighbor you've never met.

5. Repeat after us: "There is life after retirement." +7 ½ years

Or at least that's what you'd better believe if you want to live that long. In a Yale University study of older adults, people with a positive outlook on the aging process lived more than seven years longer than those who felt doomed to deteriorating mental and physical health.

Tips to Improve Concentration

  1. A simple exercise to increase concentration:

This is a simple exercise to improve concentration which can be done anytime you want to study or do an important task and want your mind to be focussed on the task.

On a blackboard or a large piece of paper taped to the wall, draw large sideways figure 8s (the infinity symbol) over and over with the right hand, the left hand, and both hands. If you don't have paper, do the drawing motion in the air. Start drawing really large sideways figure 8s and continue making the figure smaller and smaller until you are drawing really tiny Figures. You are then ready to begin homework, or any work that requires concentration.

If anytime during your work you feel you are losing concentration, stop the work and do figure 8 exercise again. This exercise can also be done with closed eyes by imagining drawing figure 8's.

This exercise helps to activate both the right and left visual fields and hence makes the brain more focussed.

  2. Do one thing at a time, set aside specific time period:
Do one thing at a time in order to develop concentration. If you are trying to think of giving presentation at office, or studying for your exam - for the next 30 minutes or so, just think of that alone. Focus your mind on the details of the job and how you plan to do it. Let not your attention wander to other things during this time.
  3. Do something as if for first or last time :We take a lot of everyday things for granted and do not observe as intently as we should. In order to develop focus and observation, try to look at tasks which you do everyday as if you are doing or seeing them for the first or the last time.

  4. 5 more rule :
"There are two kinds of people -- those who have learned how to work through frustration, and those who wish they had."

From now on, if you're in the middle of a task and tempted to give up -- just do FIVE MORE. Read
FIVE MORE pages. Finish FIVE MORE math problems. Work FIVE
    MORE minutes".

By implementing this strategy, you are stretching your mind past the point of frustration and building up mental endurance just as good athletes push past the point of exhaustion by not giving up when their body initially protests of tiredness. This way they build up the stamina.
  5. Unclutter your mind by writing down :While doing something important, if other worries are invading your mind thus affecting your concentration then an effective way to overcome this problem is to write down any concern you might be having on a piece of paper, next to it write down a date or time when you want to deal with this problem.

  6. Do a thing wholeheartedly:
If you approach something half-heartedly, it can show in the quality of the work. In order to do things better, do them with interest. Whatever you are doing, try to find some aspect of it that interests you.If you can find something interesting in each thing you do, you can enjoy even the most mundane and boring tasks.

  7. Concentration exercises:
Concentration exercises help in training your mind to concentrate more and for longer periods of time.

    Exercise 1:

Select some thought and see how long you can hold your mind on it. It is nice to have a clock at first and keep track of the time.

Suppose you decide to think about health, think of health as being a great blessing in the world. Don't let any other thought drift in. Just the moment one starts to obtrude, make it go away. Make it a daily habit of concentrating on this thought for, maybe ten minutes. Practice doing this until you can hold it to the exclusion of everything else. You might have to do this exercise regularly for 10 days or more in order to sharpen your concentration skills.

    Exercise 2:

Sit in a comfortable chair and see how still you can keep. This is not as easy as it seems. You will have to center your attention on sitting still. Watch and see that you are not making any involuntary muscular movements. By a little practice you will find you are able to sit still without a movement of the muscles for fifteen minutes. At first I advise sitting in a relaxed position for five minutes. After you are able to keep it perfectly , increase the time to ten minutes and then to fifteen. This is as long as it is necessary. But never strain yourself to keep still. You must be relaxed completely. You will find this habit of relaxing is very good. Sitting still can help you avoid unnecessary bodily movements thus improving your concentration.
    Exercise 3:

Concentrate on the Within. Lie down and thoroughly relax your muscles. Concentrate on the beating of your heart. Do not pay any attention to anything else. Think how this great organ is pumping the blood to every part of the body; try to actually picture the blood leaving the great reservoir and going in one stream right down to the toes. Picture another going down the arms to the tips of the fingers. After a little practice you can actually feel the blood passing through your system.

If, at any time, you feel weak in any part of the body, will that an extra supply of blood shall go there. For instance, if your eyes feel tired, picture the blood coming from the heart, passing up through the head and out to the eyes.

    Exercise 4:
Every man and woman should train himself to think clearly. An excellent exercise is to read an article in a newspaper, and see in how few words you can express it. Reading an article to get only the essentials requires the closest concentration. If you are unable to write out what you read, you will know you are weak in concentration. Instead of writing it out you can express it orally if you wish. Go to your room and deliver it as if you were talking to some one. You will find exercises like this of the greatest value in developing concentration and learning to think.

After you have practiced a number of these simple exercises read a book for twenty minutes and then write down what you have read.
It is a good idea when time is limited, only a short sentence and then try to write it down word for word. When you are able to do this, read two or more sentences and treat similarly.

  8. Be gentle with yourself:
If any thoughts come to your mind then gently drive them away, and bring your mind back to the subject at hand. Do not try to force out the thoughts, it works better if you are gentle. If any thought is important one which you would like to pay attention to later, then write it down on paper.

  9. Foods that increases concentration:
Any vitamin deficiency can lead to difficulty with concentration," says Chris D. Meletis, ND, chief medical officer at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine.

Including Vitamins in your daily diet should help in improving concentration. Iron deficiency can also lead to poor concentration and irritability. High haem iron foods like meat, fish and chicken should be helpful in enhancing concentration.

Also take food and juices rich in Vitamin C. Try drinking a glassful of fresh fruit juice or drink black tea with lemon.

  10. Try to find comfortable relaxed noise-free atmosphere without distractions:

Try avoiding visual distractions by pulling curtains on windows if you are sitting near one.

A Fairy tale

Telling you a story,
About a prince of glory!
The king of beneficiary,
Countrymen’s deary!
One day, he got angry.
Making courtiers worry,
Several meetings with jury,
Serving him culinary sumptuary,
Showering the words of benedictory,
Alas! The anger was not of momentary,
He felt, love was void, everything illusory,
Keeping him a silent sufferer, distractory,

There, passing by a fairy,
Touched his face, fondlery
Wow! His radiant mood was in recovery
And, the prince decided to marry,
the charming, affectionate fairy.
And, they live ever after happily!!
Their country flourishing, royal loftily!!

My story is at end
you better go to bed.

Reason, Season and Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to Do.

When someone is in your life for REASON,
it is usually to meet a need
you have expressed outwardly or inwardly.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty,
to provide you with guidance and support,
to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrong doing on your part
or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something
to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met,
our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered
and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON,
it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.
They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
those things you must build upon
in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson,
love the person/people (anyway
and put what you have learned to use in all
other relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant
.
"The longer I live the more I see that I am never wrong about anything, and that all the pains that I have so humbly taken to verify my notions have only wasted my time."
- George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)
"Happiness cannot come from without. It must come from within. It is not what we see and touch or that which others do for us which makes us happy; it is that which we think and feel and do, first for the other fellow and then for ourselves."
-
- Helen Keller
